911SG – Steve Grosekemper
Welcome to the 911SG.com website. I am Steve Grosekemper, a Porsche technician for over 30 years, and I have developed this website to help fellow Porsche owners find the information they need about supporting and servicing their Porsches. Whether you drive your car daily, on special occasions, or take it to the track several times a year, Porsche owners are passionate and committed to their cars. The goal is to be well informed about your car and to enjoy the engineering marvel that is PORSCHE!
About Steve:
After nearly 3 decades at Dieter’s Porsche/BMW Service in downtown San Diego, I left my position as shop foreman in 2014 to join the Black Forest Automotive team located in Kearney Mesa. Over the years I have collaborated with the professionals at Black Forest and have become friends on and off the track with their technicians, so when it came time to make a change, Black Forest was the right fit for my skills and expertise. Over the past year my loyal customer base has followed me as well, helping to make my move a successful one. I am enjoying the extra time I have at Black Forest to really get back to my roots: maintaining Porsches and specializing in performance racing solutions for my customers.
In addition to servicing Porsches, I have been a Porsche owner and a member of the Porsche Club of America for 26+ years. I believe in enjoying the driving experience that owning a Porsche provides, whether on the city streets or on the track. I have owned several different models of Porsches over the years, but I will say that my heart belongs to the 911. At the moment, I am the happy owner of an ’83 911SC Cabriolet. I also currently time trial a ’82 911SC along with Dr. Greg Phillips, the owner of the car. I autocross a ’74 914-2.0 as well with the owner of Black Forest, John Rickard. Both cars do well in the standings with many top finishes in class as well as TTOD and BRI. Making these cars perform to the best of their abilities is my passion and I consider myself lucky to work in a field that I love. Please browse around this website and let me know if you have any questions. You can email me at steve@911sg.com and I will get back to you as quickly as possible. The Porsche family of owners has given a lot to me over the years and I am happy to do what I can to contribute some of my knowledge back.
