About Steve

After nearly 3 decades at Dieter’s Porsche/BMW Service in downtown San Diego, I left my position as shop foreman at the end of 2013. I made a fresh start in 2014 to join the Black Forest Automotive team located in Kearney Mesa. Over the years I have collaborated with the professionals at Black Forest and have become friends on and off the track with their technicians, so when it came time to make a change, Black Forest was the right fit for my skills and expertise. Over the last nearly 10 years my loyal customer base has followed me as well as the addition of many new customers helping to make my move a successful one. I am enjoying this time at Black Forest on special projects close to my heart, maintaining Porsches and specializing in performance and racing solutions for my customers.

In addition to servicing Porsches, I have been a Porsche owner and a member of the Porsche Club of America almost 35 years. I believe in enjoying the driving experience that owning a Porsche provides, whether on the city streets and backroads or on the track. I have owned several different models of Porsches over the years, but I will say that my heart belongs to the 911. At the moment, I am the happy owner of a 1997 993S I bought in 2017 and 2001 Boxster-S project car I acquired in late 2021. I also currently PCA time trial a ’82 911SC track car I have been driving since 2009. Making these cars perform to the best of their abilities is my passion and I consider myself lucky to work in a field that I love. Please browse around this website and let me know if you have any questions. You can email me at steve@911sg.com and I will get back to you as quickly as possible. The Porsche family of owners has given a lot to me over the years and I am happy to do what I can to contribute some of my knowledge back.
